Finally Getting Better!!

Have I mentioned that I have had two colds/sinus infections in two months..  I feel like I have been sick forever!  However, I finally feel like I'm getting back to normal.  Either way, I refuse to be sick any longer.  My favorite time of the year is approaching---I love winter clothes!!  And boots!!  So, I'm planning on getting this ass up this week and working it out!!  Excuses no more.  I hope to take Mya with me, but sometimes she holds me back---her leash walking isn't the greatest.  She's only a year old---lots of "let's chase the squirrel" moments still in her.  So, I'm going to put my music in and get moving... 

For the Halloween party I've decided to go as a "Black Widow"....  Or, you can call it "Ho Tara"---either way, I'm wearing some killer red stiletto's with an awesome top and leggings.  The party is at Lisa and Tony's house and I want to be very comfortable---I'm pretty sure I might be having a drink or two or five.. 

I'm sure crazy pictures will follow....

Today starts Mac's first job as a "Manny" to our friends Sara and Vance.  He will be keeping their  5 year old triplets and their 10 year old son too.  It's a great job---no weekends, late nights or even holidays....  My little baby is keeping babies!!!

Awesome Weekend....

How did Monday get here so fast?  I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.  I know Mac and I did.  We went out to celebrate our dear friend Sara's birthday---and ended up partying the night away!  We all went to Buffalo Wild Wings first for dinner..  Then we all just went back to Lisa's house and had cake and drinks (except Mac of course)..  So much fun!!  If I win the lottery Mac and I are moving next door to them again.  Yes, it's stalkerish, I know.  But I would move our whole gang into our own subdivision if i won the lotto!  I love them all that much!!

Of course after Saturday night---I didn't do much of anything yesterday...  Just made sure the couch didn't move...  

And now here it is Monday already..  Yuck..  Oh well, the work week just gets you ready for the weekend...:)

TGIF!!!

ThtheI can finally say that I'm feeling a lot better..  Can you believe I've had another cold/sinus infection??  I swear I have been sick for 2 months!!  But I bought me 500 milligrams of vitamin C to start taking today..  Hopefully it will build up my immune system!  I refuse to be sick anymore!!

Well after 6 years, my Vera Bradley work bag has died..  R.I.P. my sweet bag..  But, happily, I have found a replacement for you on EBay...  Don't ya think my new pattern is pretty??  It's called Ribbons--and a portion of the sale went to breast cancer research..

I'm also thinking of selling my IPad on eBay..  It's the first generation..  But something for it is better than nothing!!

Some more exciting news---Mac got a job!!  He is going to be a Manny!!  He will be taking care of our friends triplets and 10 year old son after school..  No nights, no weekends or holidays...  He lucked up!!  Plus, they are very dear friends of ours...  Makes it even better for him!!

Well I think I have updated y'all on all the happenings..  Going to celebrate a friends birthday tomorrow night and watch some ALABAMA FOOTBALL...  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

I'm Back....

Hey friends, sorry for the absence.  My schedule went all over the place and I just didn't have the energy to blog..  Isn't that pitiful...  But I'm back now so lets catch up!!

We will start with weight---gotta get a grip on that!!  I've gained 8 pounds!  There, I put it out into the internet world.  Now I can begin to fix it..  I did walk Mya for about a mile the other night.  However, I didn't use her gentle collar so she "pulled" me through the neighborhood.  That won't be happening again.  Made my elbow and shoulder so sore last night.  I love walking with her, but sometimes I think I let how she is going to act detour me from walking.  I've either got to show her I'm the boss and make her do right with the right collar, or not take her for my "workout" walks.  I can't keep finding an excuse to not workout.  So, you know how everybody starts over on Monday's---well so will I.  I'm off for the three days so that's three days that I CAN work out.  Rain or shine. 
I also bought less "junk" at the grocery store yesterday.  Chips are my weakness.  I can eat them like crazy!  And I have been.  So, I bought more healthy stuff and less chips.  I love my cucumbers and peppers---that's my snack today.  A friend of mine even turned me onto these organic little tomatoes---and I have never eaten tomatoes right out of the bag. However, these things are the BOMB!!  So hear I come healthy!!!   I bought this Halloween costume off Zulily for $12.99---and it's so cute and sexy!!  But I just have to work my booty off or wear something else.  And I don't want to waste my money on anything else--besides I have the cutest 4 inch red sequined heals!!!

I hope Mac is having an swesome day.  My brother took him and the girls to the Alabama game.  It's homecoming so they will have a blast!!

Streak Was Short....

Well my first "streak" was very short.  Like one day..  Mac lost his car keys on Tuesday and after totally tearing the the house apart, with no keys found---we came to the conclusion that they HAD to be in the truck.   So, I broke down and called a locksmith.  And sixty dollars later, the keys were in the truck between the seat.  But the cost to my "stress level"---way more expensive!!  I know Mac didn't do it on purpose, but his "search level" was not near as high as mine.  I ripped the sheets of the bed.  I had Mac going through his garbage, his drawers, under his bed, behind his bed.  Everywhere.  Now keep in mind, I'm straight up "Madea" mad at this point that I'm having to do this at 6:30am...  Not a happy camper and neither one of us are "morning" people so the tension level was off the chain.  Since we couldn't find them, he took my truck to school and we just dealt with it when he got home.  So brings us to the lockspmith--at 5pm, who finally showed up close to 7pm. 

Can I just say coming to work today is like having a "mommy vacation"!!  It's like my "safe" zone!!  But I don't want to talk too much about that because it can quickly go down hill as well.

Now back to my "No Spending Streaks"---I will for sure get my X today.  I do have to get gas, but that is a "must have" not fluff...  And I packed my breakfast, lunch and dinner today at work--so all is good there!!  I'm hoping for atleast three X's in a row!!

Here I Am!!!

I'm back!!  I'm back!!  So sorry I left ya'll hangin for such a long time.  It's been a crazy busy week.  My baby finally came home!! Mac had the best time out in California visiting with his dad.  They went to so many different places and just had a fun filled month.  Now ask him if he is glad to be back on his computer---happy like a kid in a candy store!  And did I mention he now has his own vehicle?  Yep---he is driving his own ride.  Which opens up a whole NEW can of stress for me.  Lord, watch out for him PLEASE!!

I still can't believe summer is over and I will have a junior in high school starting Monday.  Where did the time go?  I just hope he has a good year with good grades to follow.  I wouldn't mind a date or two for him this year.  I don't want anything too "deep" just a sweet, good girl for him to go out to dinner with every now and then...  Casual, very casual with my baby...

I'm excited that I've kinda got a mini vacation planned.  Nothing big, just going to Tunica for the weekend to play the slots...  It's not until November, so it's a ways away.  But it's still nice to know I'm finally going somewhere.  We had thought about going to Vegas, but with it being the month before Christmas we opted for something closer and cheaper.  However, I hope we come back winners!!!

Well, that's all the catching up that I can think of right now.  Busy weekend coming too.  Matter of fact, the next three weekends are busy with Pure Romance parties...  A VERY GOOD thing.  I can already tell, my new "favorite thing" is the Chocolate Whipped...  OMG is it Heavenly!!!

Where Did Summer Go??

Can you believe school starts back in just nineteen days??  Summer flew by this year, exspecially with Mac out in California--it seemed to really go by fast.  I miss him so much but it has been a really nice "mommy break"!!  Can't wait to see how much my power bill has dropped with me turning everything off down stairs.  This picture is from my phone, but I love it...  

One very cool fact about August---we get three pay checks this month!!  Whoop!!  And as of right now, I have three Pure Romance parties as well!!  I love doing my parties, so much fun.  Wish I had started this business along time ago.  I really enjoy making the ladies laugh, but also educating them as well.  I got in my car decal yesterday.  Looking forward to putting that on this weekend..  Gotta advertise to get that business...

Got a big party Saturday night with my friends from my old subdivision.  I love getting together with them. This weekend is going to be alot of fun.... 

But we gotta get through today and tomorrow first---hope it goes by fast for us!!!

Mya Knows....

Well, Mya has finally figured out, it is way too quite in this house.  "Where is Mac" her eyes keep asking me?  She has gone to the steps and done this exact pose---at least 50 times now..  Bless her heart.  Tomorrow is her Nosework class so hopefully that will take her mind away from our Mac.  He is normally the "handler," so she will still know something is different.  But I'm going to do my best!!  It's an outside search tomorrow so it should really be fun.   This isn't the best picture, but you get the idea of what I'm constantly seeing.  Bless her..

Happy Fact---it's Friday!!  Whoop!!  I'm ready for the weekend!  Not that I have much planned.  May just rent some movies and hang with my Mya.  I was going non stop last weekend, so I think I may enjoy this one in slow motion!!  Outside of Mya's class and cleaning---we are done..

Confession Time....

This post is long over due!!  I must confess it, so I can accept it, and move on!!  I have not exercised since Mya got sick--about 3 weeks ago!  Don't get me wrong, she is completely fine now---I just fell out of my routine and haven't even attempted to get back on track.  How sad is that?  And my Glow in the Park 5k is one week from tomorrow!!  LAWD is that going to be a HOT MESS!!  But I'm going to go and probably just crawl over the finish line---but I'm going!!  I'm off work for the weekend and plan on walking/slow jog the Hillsboro trail Saturday and Sunday.  Our humidity is only like 140% right now---so anything outside is just a hot, sticky mess.  But---I gotta just suck it up!!!

I've heard from Mac several times.  He's loving California, of course no humidity.   This will be his first full week out there.  He took some great pictures of all their stops along the way.  He loved the Grand Canyon and wants to go back..  I'm down with that!!  This is one of my favorite pictures.  He doesn't like heights at all---so it made me laugh....

On the Pure Romance side, first two party orders are filled and shipping out today.  Had a few back orders that will go out this weekend.  But other than that---the whole process is very simple.  I love doing it and will just continue to get better at it.  I ordered a big window decal for the back window of my car.  Gotta advertise!  My next party for right now isn't until mid August---but ladies---they are so much fun.   I should have my decals sometime next week...  Then every time I'm driving, I'm advertising!!!

Tinkerbell Love....

In honor of my brother and his family being in Disney this week..  I truly hope they tell Tinkerbell just how much I love her!!  She is my all time favorite animated star!!  I hope they have a wonderful time!!!

Mac left on Saturday for a month in California with his dad.  Oh how I'm going to miss my little man!!  But he needs the time with his dad and I need a "mommy break"!!!  I wish I could say I was going somewhere tropical or full of mountains.  Nope...  Not happening this year.  I will be working on my new second job with Pure Romance.  I had two parties last week and am so HOOKED.  Such a fun way to spend an evening with a bunch of ladies.  I'm very excited about this new busniess opportunity.   Check out my Facebook link to the right of the page.  I offers specials and sales items each month!!!

Mya is doing great.  I don't think she has realized Mac has left yet.   She had her Nosework class Saturday and had to search for things (cheese wiz) that was hidden inside different parts of the room.  Mac was very excited that his dad was able to go to a class with him.  We are both so proud of the things she is learning to do.  Our next search is outside!!!  And I have to take her by myself...  That should be interesting!!!

I have been very bad on my exercising since Mya got sick a few weeks ago with the whole tick thing.  I haven't walked at all!!!  And my Glow in the Park 5K is in 12 days!!!  I have got to get back on track this week.  Mya and I both need the activity.  I'm off until Thursday so there is NO EXCUSE!!!

Busy Week!!

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.   Why do they go by so fast?  This is a crazy busy week for me but I'm very excited...  I have 2 Pure Romance parties booked---very excited about that!!  Lot's of great ideas for future bookings.  Plus a new catalog in August..  So lots of fun things to come with my "second job". 

Mac leaves for California Saturday for a month!!  Him and his dad are driving back to California--- I hope he takes a lot of pictures for me... Very glad he is getting to spend some time with his dad, but Mya and I are going to miss him so much!  The only good thing is my food and power bill should go down some...  Kidding--but true...

Finally Friday!!!

This has been a long, busy week and I'm so glad that after I finish work today, this chic is off for four days!  Oh and did I mention we are done with baseball!!  Great season, we came in second.  I'll take that.  And for another plus, we only have like 8 or 9 days left in school.  Angels are singing for that one!  Can't wait for better traffic and sleeping in during the week when I'm off.  So many perks. 

On the work out front---it has been nonexistent this week since I have been working so much.  Plus had two baseball games.  But I'm looking forward to some serious "mommy" time this weekend since, after all, it is "mother's weekend".....   Not that I have any plans, relax, work with Mya on some of her training homework and maybe take in a movie with Mac.   Low key...

Rainy Work Day....

If I have to work weekends, and it's raining, I don't really feel like I'm missing much.  Or at least that's what I tell myself.  My last few days off were really good, so I'm ready to tackle the weekend work. 
Only downside is, I slept so bad last night due to what I ate for dinner.  Damn mexican beans and tortilla chips!  Haven't had that in like forever.  I enjoyed it going down---but the misery I felt afterwards and how full I felt was far worse!!  Feeling that full kept me awake until almost 2am!  I wanted to cry!

While I was sitting on the couch in misery, Mac was laying his head in my lap while Mya was laying in his lap!  And all of them were leaning on me!  I had very little "space" to my self last night.  But it was fine.  Been a long time since Mac rested his head in my lap...  Oh and by the way, my sweet little man made the A-B honor roll on his progress report...  So proud of him and how he has done in his Sophomore year.

Our First Treadmill Ride!!!

Yesterday Mya was full of energy and of course it was raining.  Like all day raining.  I had been watching the Dog Whisperer and doing some cleaning when on the episode I was watching he showed us how to teach the dog to walk on the treadmill.  That's all it took!!  She did almost 35 minutes and I got my bathroom cleaned!!  Now I didn't leave her unattended---Mac sat with her.  But she did very well for her first time on it.

In other weekend news, Mac and I went to see Oblivion with Tom Cruise.  It was a pretty good movie.  Not as good as Jerry McGuire, but good.  Mac really enjoyed it.  And anything SyFy is good to me as well.  

I would really like to see Iron Man 3 coming out this Friday...  Love me some Robert Downy Jr.

That was about all the excitement we had for our weekend.  Diet wise, I ate pretty good.  Made crock pot chicken pot pie.  Mac loved it this time and it makes great left overs for work.  So, guess what I'm having for lunch??  

I have also declared that this week will be a much better week than last.  Hopefully the heating pad will continue to help my neck.  But if it is not better by Wednesday---I will for sure bring it to my doctor's attention on Wednesday..  I don't do pain well at all....  Will get bitchy here pretty soon....

Sick Xterra....

I'm so sad to report that my sweet Betty the Xterra is sick today and at Dr. Goodyear.  However, "Betty" is so good to me, she didn't run hot until I got off work last night and was parked waiting to get Mac from my parents.  It's just a miracle I happened to look down and notice she was running hot with fever.  She has NEVER run hot before, so I've had a tendency to not pay attention to the temperature gauge.  Very glad she did me right and didn't get sick on the interstate or worse in the parking deck!!  I've sent a a Facebook prayer request for a very cheap recovery...  Not much room in the divorce budget for Betty---since she has been so dependable...

Wouldn't this be fun??  Oh to be young.....

Something New---Favorite Pictures and TGIF!!!

I think I'm going to change things up a bit today.  I normally just do TGIF and Fact Friday.  I'm changing things up this week---change is always good.  Or it's supposed to be.  Mac took two pictures yesterday that I just LOVE LOVE LOVE and have to share.  Just in case you are visiting me for the first time, Mac is my "young man in training" son.  And Mya is my seven month old Siberian Husky who is in training to become a Therapy dog.  She is by far my second child and the smartest dog I have ever had.
