Best Summer Drink Ever!!

Did ya'll think I dropped off the internet??  NEVER!!  I've just been keeping busy with friends and family since Mac has been gone.   He is having a great time out in California with his dad.  They are doing so much sightseeing.   It's going to be a wonderful summer for him!   Although it is weird being on the "other" end of not getting to talk to him everyday like his dad goes through.   But I know he loves me to the moon and back, as I do him----so have a blast my sweet little man!!!

On another note, made a fresh batch of cucumber mint water this afternoon.  Huge thanks to my friend Christi Wilson for turning me on to this wonderful water..  Can I just tell you how refreshing this drink is!  I'm already getting funny looks from my local grocery store for the quantity of cucumbers I'm buying.   But I can't help it, I just love this veggie!!   If I didn't drink it so fast, it would last about 2-3 days.  But I can drink the entire pitcher in one day---and then some...   Give it a try, I promise you will likey!!!

Gonna Need an Ark!!

This weather is gross!!  I'm glad that I'm working through all this rain!!  And I think it's still supposed to rain on Wednesday as well.  It also makes for a messy Mya when she comes in from dropping off her business.  Yuck!!  I really hope it clears up for Friday's 5K.  I'm still looking for any firends that would like to join me!!  It's this Friday at the Hoover Met, called Glow in the Park..  It's to benefit the American Diabetes Association---a very good cause.  In this day and age, I'm sure just about everyone knows someone who is affected by Diabetes.  But partner or not, I'm gonna do my sweaty thang and have FUN!!!  

I Blinked and it was MONDAY!!!

Where did the weekend go?  I'm telling ya'll, I blinked and it was over!!  But I had a really good time!  Saturday Mya and I went to her last beginner Nosework class.  She did great.  It was such a fun class.  Can't wait until we start the second one in the fall.  There will be alot of "field" trips for that class---so it should be lots of fun!!

Saturday night I went out with my next door neighbor, Kerra to Papa Saia's.  Deputy 5 was playing outside and inside was Chase Evans.  Deputy 5 was great, I had never heard them before--I was pleased.  However, the guy playing inside the bar, Chase Evens---he had such a great sound.  He was adorable and had a great voice.  I think Chase should have also been playing outside---did I mention that he has a great voice??  I hope to hear him again...

Kerra and I kinda "closed the place down" Saturday night, so I wasn't good for much of anything yesterday.  But it was worth it---had a blast and met some very nice people.  I also gave out a ton of business cards!  Can't get the business if you don't spread the word!  So click on the box to the right and follow my Pure Romance site for daily "Tara Tells All" tips, sales and just overall fun stuff!!!

Registering my baby for his junior year in high school tomorrow.  Just still can't believe that.  Wow...

This Friday is my first 5k!!  It's the Glow in the Park 5k...  I'm really excited about it.  Kerra may do it with me..  If not, I can go at it alone...  I'm doing it for myself anyways...  I maybe going at turtle pace, but I know I will enjoy the ride!!!

Mya Knows....

Well, Mya has finally figured out, it is way too quite in this house.  "Where is Mac" her eyes keep asking me?  She has gone to the steps and done this exact pose---at least 50 times now..  Bless her heart.  Tomorrow is her Nosework class so hopefully that will take her mind away from our Mac.  He is normally the "handler," so she will still know something is different.  But I'm going to do my best!!  It's an outside search tomorrow so it should really be fun.   This isn't the best picture, but you get the idea of what I'm constantly seeing.  Bless her..

Happy Fact---it's Friday!!  Whoop!!  I'm ready for the weekend!  Not that I have much planned.  May just rent some movies and hang with my Mya.  I was going non stop last weekend, so I think I may enjoy this one in slow motion!!  Outside of Mya's class and cleaning---we are done..

Confession Time....

This post is long over due!!  I must confess it, so I can accept it, and move on!!  I have not exercised since Mya got sick--about 3 weeks ago!  Don't get me wrong, she is completely fine now---I just fell out of my routine and haven't even attempted to get back on track.  How sad is that?  And my Glow in the Park 5k is one week from tomorrow!!  LAWD is that going to be a HOT MESS!!  But I'm going to go and probably just crawl over the finish line---but I'm going!!  I'm off work for the weekend and plan on walking/slow jog the Hillsboro trail Saturday and Sunday.  Our humidity is only like 140% right now---so anything outside is just a hot, sticky mess.  But---I gotta just suck it up!!!

I've heard from Mac several times.  He's loving California, of course no humidity.   This will be his first full week out there.  He took some great pictures of all their stops along the way.  He loved the Grand Canyon and wants to go back..  I'm down with that!!  This is one of my favorite pictures.  He doesn't like heights at all---so it made me laugh....

On the Pure Romance side, first two party orders are filled and shipping out today.  Had a few back orders that will go out this weekend.  But other than that---the whole process is very simple.  I love doing it and will just continue to get better at it.  I ordered a big window decal for the back window of my car.  Gotta advertise!  My next party for right now isn't until mid August---but ladies---they are so much fun.   I should have my decals sometime next week...  Then every time I'm driving, I'm advertising!!!

Are You Laptop Happy??

Has anybody experienced  the death of their old laptop lately??   Mine was a Gateway, if that tells you how old it was.  I tried my best to salvage it.  Even had a friend at work "clean" it up and it still has slowly edged to it's death.  Now I've always been a PC person, other than my iPad, however, I decided to go apple this time around.  And I have to say, I'm loving it.  Now there is a huge difference between the two.  I even had to buy me a "beginner's" manual for it.  I didn't go all out, just a regualar Macbook Pro, but I still love it.  I really can't give a solid review on it right now since it is so new.  But I can tell you it's like moving from a diansour to a Transformer!!  Speed is AWESOME... 

Does anyone else use a Macbook??   ANY tips would be appreciated!!
