Awesome Off Days....

I have to confess, I had a wonderful four days off.  But I was so bad with my exercising!!!  I was always going and going!  So, atleast I wasn't sitting on my buns.  And I did cut the front and the back yard the other day with a PUSH lawn mower---now that is exercise!!  Mya also got some serious play time out of it!

I'm so excited that our K9 Nosework classes start this Saturday.  It's going to be so much fun.  Really excited that it's something Mac and I can do together.  My little man is growing up so fast.  He will be a junior in high school next year!  Wow!

In between work, Mya and summer break---I've started writing again.  I truly think this dating journey that I'm on can be very comical!!  It's a crazy mess out there!  But most of all, I just think times have changed and I have to catch up.   Obviously, names will be changed.  I want to write it somewhat along the lines of how Carrie wrote her articles on Sex in The City.   Maybe each guy gets his own chapter or if its really bad---a short paragraph.  Chances are no one will see it anyways---writing is a way for me to relax and vent.

Above all I really need to get back to my work outs.  I've slipped off of that in the past two weeks.  Got to bring the focus back on me, health wise.  And I can do it, just have to step away from all my other drama.  So bring on the sweat!!!!

Passing Thought...

Since I had to work all weekend, I'm counting my evening at Margarita Grill last week as my "Happy Cinco de Mayo" celebration...  Hope ya'll had a happy one!!

I've already prepared myself for the busy week ahead.  Mya starts her second round of obedience classes tomorrow.  Leah may be disappointed that we haven't had much practice time.  Between work and baseball---we didn't get to practice much of her outside leash exercises.   Not to mention our weather has been straight up "Alabama".  Nice and spring like one moment, then frost warnings out the next.  Going to get a walk in tomorrow with her so she isn't so hyper and unfocused like she was the last session.  Oh and did I mention, the shedding seems to be at an all time high.  Holy hair I knew it was bad---but it is everywhere.  I think I vacuum and dust several times a day!!

Keep your fingers crossed, Mac's baseball team is #1 right now in our tournament.  These boys are playing so good.  But they should, they have only played together since they were toddlers..  Way to go Purple Cobra's!!

K9 Nose Work Trails----FUN!!!!

Can I just tell you that I had the BEST time this past weekend at the K9 Nose Work Trails.  It was so amazing to see these dogs searching for those scents.  Friday was for the level two dogs so it was a little more intense.  I was so amazed at how many little dogs do this sport.  Some of them I don't think were even tall enough to get into the area the scent was in!!  But those cute little babies found it.
Mac went with me on Saturday and fell in love with it!  He was also amazed at how fast some of the dogs found the scents.  He said he wants to be the handler when Mya starts her training for it.  It was just really nice to find something that Mac and I can do together.  With him growing up it seems those activities are few and far between.

Now to catch you up on the dieting and exercise---well you will be disappointed!!  I didn't do horrible, but I sure didn't do good either.  I didn't get the treadmill moved upstairs so I haven't gotten on it.  I did manage to walk Mya Friday evening.  But did very minimal after that.  I think the pollen is kicking my booty. I know, another excuse!  But I did start logging everything back into my fitness pal today so HOPEFULLY I will get back on track.  Just to put it out there, the scale showed a 2 point gain this morning.  I'm kicking in the water so I'm hoping my energy level will improve too.  I also feel like I do better when I read all my "motivational" blogs about weight loss.  Helps me realize I'm not the only one with struggles and has set backs.
So, this is another week and another chance to do it right.  That's how I look at it....  How do you re-group and get things back on track??

Mya Learning to "Leave It"....

I wish you could see her from the other side to see how she looks at me.  She cuts those eyes like "get that treat away from me if you are not going to give it to me!!"  It is soooo funny!!  My Facebook friends have already seen this---but I have to share it with my blogger friends too!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!!

Tired Girl From Training...

Mya had her third training session yesterday.  She did very well with her new task!!  This week we are teaching her to wait until her leash is on and I give the command for her to come out of her crate.  It took Leah a few tries, but she caught on and was ready to learn.  After Leah, I worked with her on it.  Let me tell you, trying to remember the "order" of what to say so Mya doesn't get confused---makes you really have to think!!  So we are truly both getting a "mind" work out!  Mac even made fun of me a little, until he had to try it.  Then he stopped teasing me..
After that task we worked on some lease training and getting her to sit and not jump with approaching people.  I think this task will really help us in our outdoor walking.  I can't wait until my vacation next week so I can really work with her.
I'm really excited about an upcoming event that our trainer, Leah is hosting.  It's called the Official  NACSW K9 Nose Work NW2 & NW1 Trails.   Leah, who is a certified K9 Nose Work Instructor needed volunteers, so I signed Mac and myself up!  It is going to be so cool seeing these dogs at work!  It's a class---down the road maybe for Mya.  So it should be interesting...

And on a final note----two shifts left until VACATION!!!!
